ScienceUs Project

Citizen Science Best Practices

About ScienceUs

The main objective of the project is to generate a EU wide network of connected citizen science projects. A combined support program of direct funding and support services will be delivered to a group of high potential citizen science initiatives.

Communication & Knowledge Transfer

A strong set of communication, dissemination and knowledge transfer will be implemented to engage all actors in the quadruple helix around the citizen science networks.

Challenges & Opportunities

The ScienceUs Project will identify the main challenges and opportunities related to “Adaptation to Climate Change” to be exploited through citizen science best practices.

About

ScienceUs Project

ScienceUs will implement a 3-phase support program with direct funding and support services to a group of outstanding citizen science initiatives that have the potential to be upscaled to other EU regions.

ScienceUs will be focused on research initiatives related to “adaptation to climate change”, the selection of the sub-projects will consider the additional impact on other thematic areas or missions.

ScienceUs will focus on facilitating EU-wide citizen involvement in these initiatives since they should help identify research priorities in the target EU Mission, participate in research studies, work with researchers to scale up the supported citizen science projects, disseminate projects’ findings to their communities and advocate for additional funding.

ScienceUs' Objectives

To create and attract a European community of citizen science initiatives to be upscaled to other EU regions.

ScienceUs' Objectives
