ScienceUs Project
ScienceUs will implement a 3-phase support program with direct funding and support services to a group of outstanding citizen science initiatives that have the potential to be upscaled to other EU regions.
- SEED PHASE will firstly consist of attracting potential applicants’ attention to participate in the programme.
- FLOURISH PHASE will be the main part of the ScienceUs support program focused on the delivery of end-to-end CS support services to the best 5 citizen science initiatives selected in the previous phase.
- HARVEST PHASE the 5 CS sub-projects will join the ScienceUs quadruple helix test-bed program in which the projects will work with policy makers and public authorities, industry and academia to transform the conclusions from their CS projects into real policy impacts.
ScienceUs will be focused on research initiatives related to “adaptation to climate change”, the selection of the sub-projects will consider the additional impact on other thematic areas or missions.
ScienceUs will focus on facilitating EU-wide citizen involvement in these initiatives since they should help identify research priorities in the target EU Mission, participate in research studies, work with researchers to scale up the supported citizen science projects, disseminate projects’ findings to their communities and advocate for additional funding.
