Join the ScienceUs Citizen Science Revolution: Upscaling Climate Change Adaptation Projects Across Europe
Are you part of a citizen science project that’s making a difference in the fight against climate change? Do you have an innovative approach to climate adaptation that can be scaled across Europe? The ScienceUs project invites you to apply for its Open Call which will be published by the end of October. A unique opportunity to join a network of interconnected citizen science initiatives focused on climate change adaptation. With direct funding, support services, and opportunities to expand your impact, this program is your chance to take your project to the next level.
What is ScienceUs Open Call?
ScienceUs is building an EU-wide network of citizen science projects that contribute to the EU mission “Adaptation to Climate Change.” By providing funding and support services, ScienceUs aims to scale up high-potential initiatives, fostering collaboration across different regions and helping local solutions reach a broader European audience.
This Open Call is designed for ongoing citizen science projects with the potential to be scaled or replicated in other regions across Europe. Through a three-phase support program, ScienceUs will provide funding and tailored services to help you grow and succeed.
What’s in it for You?
- Direct Funding: Projects selected will receive funding across three phases:
- SEED Phase: €1,000 for 25 projects
- FLOURISH Phase: €18,000 for 5 projects
- HARVEST Phase: €25,000 for the final projects
- Support Services: Beyond financial support, ScienceUs offers a robust set of services, including expert mentoring, knowledge-sharing opportunities, and access to a broad network of European stakeholders.
- Scalability and Impact: Your project will have the opportunity to expand across Europe, influencing policies at the European, national, and local levels.

The Open Call is open to legal entities and consortia from countries eligible for Horizon Europe grants. This includes EU Member States and third countries associated with Horizon Europe. If your project is already making waves in climate adaptation, this is your opportunity to amplify its impact.
